Two days in Middlemarch

Small towns are convenient, yes, but not so much when they don't have a food store (such 4 Square) and when the local pub - the only place catering at nights - suddenly loses its license for providing food. However those are problems for others, we are fine. Warren provides an excellent breakfast as part of the accommodation package and while there is no food available at night, there are several excellent cafes open during the day, we just buy dinner early :-) There are also the left overs from the meal Warren provided on Monday.

This town is just a bit too quiet. It's the end of the railway line - how often do trains come here? We have never heard one arrive.

Our two days here are work days, we feel we have taken over the kitchen table, but Annandale is a spacious house so it's okay and Warren is not complaining.

Our room, bathroom next door.

Jerry the cat, a big fellow who occasionally graced us with his affection - and more often requested door opening services.

Thanks for hosting us Warren, we enjoy staying with you.
