Resuming the ride: Christchurch to Bluff

Thursday, October 31 2024: 10pm. We are continuing our ride south!

I have stowed my bike in the back of the car, put the trike on its carrier and the cover on the trike. Our bags are packed. Tomorrow morning we will put them in the car and head south.

Our plan is to drive to Wellington tomorrow. Take the Ferry on Saturday and drive to Kaikoura.

On Sunday continue to Christchurch.

A week in Christchurch working then the ride starts.

We are taking it easier this time than last, no need to hurry - we are here to enjoy the ride. After a week riding we should be in Twizel, one leg along the Alps to Ocean trail. Our ride will pause and we will bus back to Christchurch.

Another week's work in Christchurch then bus back to Twizel and resume the ride.

We will meander down the country, linking the major cycle tracks together and eventually arriving in Bluff.

Shervonne and Lavonne should be waiting for us there, with the car. They fly from Auckland to Christchurch, pick up the car and drive down to meet us. :-)
